Pamela has been creating art since she was able to
hold a crayon. Possessing an eye for realism early on in her training, she has developed a sensitivity for her subjects. She
studied fine art and graphic design at Northern Arizona University and received her Bachelor’s
in Art and Art History from California State University, Long Beach. A portrait artist for over 25 years, Pamela
is influenced by the works of Élisabeth Louise Vigée-Le Brun and Celia Beaux. She studies the techniques of the masters (Titian, Vermeer, DaVinci), has attended classes and
workshops at the acclaimed Scottsdale Artists School, and studied with nationally known portraitist Chris Saper.
Pamela's work resides in nearly 100 private collections, is the founder of Portrait Artists of Arizona, a member of the Portrait Society of America, Tempe Artists Guild, and is a Juried Artist of the Arizona Art Alliance. Each
commission is welcomed with enthusiasm, continuing to perfect her technique for “knowledge earned is rewarded
with pride of accomplishment”. Pamela believes life is but a process of learning and growing; if
you are not doing so, you are not living.
